【】Sherman isn't alone in that sentiment.
If there are two things to know about Richard Sherman, it's that he 1) despises the NFL and 2) has #nofilter. 。
Those two often go hand in hand, as they did on Tuesday, when the Seahawks cornerback blasted the NFL for its weekly Thursday Night Football match-ups, calling it an "absolute poopfest." 。

In 2012, the NFL expanded the sporadic Thursday Night Football so each team has to play one mid-week game per season, and players aren't happy about it.。
“It’s terrible,” Sherman said, per SB Nation. “We played, got home at like 1 o’clock in the morning something like that on Monday, and then you got to play again. I mean, congratulations NFL, you did it again. But they’ve been doing it all season so I guess (the Seahawks are) the last ones to get the middle finger.”
Sherman's chief complaint is the limited rest between games.。
He feels about 50 or 60 percent recovered by Thursdays after playing on Sundays, he said, which contributes to what many are calling "sloppy" play on Thursday nights.。
Thanks for signing up! 。
The whole notion of Thursday Night Football — putting tired, often-injured players on the field for entertainment — is "hypocritical," Sherman said on Tuesday, considering the NFL's player safety push in recent years. 。
"They make this huge stance about player safety, then you put the players in tremendous danger.”
Sherman has been openly critical of the NFL's hypocrisy before. In September, he called the league a "bottom line business" more interested in ratings than the safety of its own players. 。
Sherman isn't alone in that sentiment.。
In 2014, then-Texans running back Arian Foster said, "[The NFL] emphasizes concussions when they start getting hit with lawsuits and they care about the players' safety but Thursday Night Football is putting every player on the football field in danger."。
Giants linebacker Jon Beason said last year, "it shows they don't really care about the players." 。

The current collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFL Player's Association expires in 2020, which is likely the next time Thursday Night Football could be renegotiated.。
Until then, we'll all have to sit back, relax, and put up with the poopfest. 。Until then, we'll all have to sit back, relax, and put up with the poopfest.。
