The Contenders league kicks off this summer with Season 0 -- open to anyone in North America and Europe -- to determine which teams will be competing in Contenders Season 1. 。

Contenders Season 0 concludes in North America and Europe, the top six NA teams will join Team EnVyUs and Rogue for their first real season while the top eight EU teams will move into their own Season 1. 。As for who is in charge of 。

The leader could be the team's owner if it's an established esports team organization like Team EnVyUs. Or, it could be one of the players if the squad isn't tied to an official organization. 。

Contenders Season 1 will consist of six weeks of online round-robin play, after which the top four teams will move on to the offline playoffs. Both European and North American Contenders seasons have a prize pool of $100,000. 。
