Something might be up with Apple's wireless headphones tech. 。

After Apple's AirPods were delayed for an unspecified reason in October, Beats' wireless earbuds BeatsX seem to be delayed as well. 。

According to an。 AppleInsider 。report, Apple retailer B&H told a customer in an email that the BeatsX -- originally slated for a December launch -- probably won't arrive for another couple of months. 。

The Beats website still gives the BeatsX launch date as "late 2016," and customers can sign up to get notified when the $149.95 'buds become available.  。

This is notable as the BeatsX use Apple's newW1 wireless chip, which also powers both the AirPods. On the other hand, the powerbeats3 and Solo 3 models also have the W1, and they're currently shipping, so the simultaneous delay of the AirPods and BeatsX could be a coincidence and/or unrelated to the W1 chip.  。
