reporters -- Peter Baker, Michael S. Schmidt, and Maggie Haberman -- in the Oval Office, Trump talked about his visit to France for Bastille Day. 。
Haberman then commented saying Macron "was very deferential to you."。 To which Trump responded: "He’s a great guy. Smart. Strong. Loves holding my hand."Here's the whole exchange. Note that Trump reiterates 。three。

Macron, who's already showed Trump he's not afraid of his infamously powerful grip, doesn't want to let go. It's difficult to establish who's actually in control. 。 Both men seem to be sending some sort of elaborate physical message that they are each very strong, very determined, and very not here for each other's nonsense. 。Maybe Macron 。
