Since The Last of Uspremiered in January, the actor who plays lead character Ellie in the show has been sharing a mix of commentary, excitable reactions, and glorious behind-the-scenes photos like this one.

On Sunday, however, after episode 4, Ramsey opted for three simple emoji: the poop, the person running, and the pair of jeans.

The emoji tweet is a reference to the joke Ellie (Ramsey) tells Joel (Pedro Pascal) at the end of episode 4, as they're about to go to sleep in an abandoned building:

"Joel, did you know diarrhoea is hereditary?"

"What?"

"Yeah, it runs in your jeans."

The joke is from the book Ellie carries around in her backpack, No Pun Intended: Volume Too by Will Livingston, which she gleefully reads aloud to Joel in idle moments, sparking little to no reaction from her guardian.

However, the joke about diarrhoea is the first time Ellie properly makes Joel laugh, and seems to mark a key bonding moment in the pair's relationship.
