SmashSummit 3 is being hosted by Beyond the Summit Nov. 3-6, where 16 of the biggest names in Meleewill fight for a crowd-funded prize pool.

The 10 invited players are Armada (Smash Summit 2 champion), Hungrybox (Evo 2016 champion), Mango (Super Smash Con 2016 champion), Mew2King (Shine 2016 champion), Axe, SFat, Westballz, Shroomed, Plup and Leffen. Leffen has been unable to compete in U.S. tournaments for over a year due to visa issues and Smash Summit 3 will be one of his first tournaments back in the states (if he's allowed into the country).

Voting for the six other players will be announced by Beyond the Summit at a later date and will take place through Smash.gg, one of the largest online tournament-organizing platforms in the world.

Smash Summit's crowd-funded prize pool makes it one of the most lucrative Meleetournaments in existence. The first Smash Summit in November 2015 still holds the title for the highest prize pool in Meleehistory at almost $33,000.
