It's been a big day for Donald Trump on Twitter, and Chelsea Clinton has definitely noticed.

After an unhinged morning that included the president retweeting and then promptly deleting a confusing tweet about fascism and another violent CNN meme, Clinton called out Trump's behavior by bringing up his past controversy with comedian Kathy Griffin.

In less than 140 characters, the Clinton condemned the retweeted cartoon of a Trump Train running over a person with a CNN logo covering his face as "vile and wrong."

She accused Trump of hypocrisy by calling on him to apologize, the same way Griffin did after sharing a photograph of a beheaded Donald Trump back in May.

Clinton highlighted the fact that, like Kathy Griffin's controversial photograph of Trump, the CNN cartoon "mimicked killing" a person.

Because of backlash over Griffin's violent visual portrayal, she was fired by CNN and called out by Trump and his family members. The comedian made several public apologies after sharing the image, saying "I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people."

Trump's retweet of the meme showing a journalist being hit by a train also came less than a week after 32-year-old Heather Heyer was killed by a vehicle plowing into a protest crowd in Charlottesville.

According to Twitter, a White House official told NBC News White House Correspondent Kristen Welker that the image was "inadvertently posted" by Trump.

But as Maggie Haberman, White House correspondent for New York Times, reminded everyone, "retweets require two clicks, not one."
