According to the user, who posted under the pseudonym Nostalgic Eik, he sent the cup of coffee back thinking it was a dirty cup, but got another batch of roach legs in the replacement. Yikes. 。
On Thursday, McDonald's posted an apology letter, which pretty much acknowledges that there were cockroach bits in the coffee pot. 。
The fast food chain said in a statement that it's brought in the offending coffee machine for inspection, and has sent in a team to the outlet to get its equipment and facilities cleaned. 。
Fast food outlets are probably accustomed to people planting bugs in their food and claiming outrage, so McDonald's statement means Nostalgic Eik wasn't mistaken. 。
Two years ago, McDonald's encountered another roach situation in Bangkok, where a woman claimed she found one in her soft serve. That time, McDonald's didn't admit liability, but instead filed a police report, suggesting that its investigations threw doubt on the woman's story.。
