You'd be hard-pressed to pick it out on a map, but dusty outback town of Carinda in Australia has a very special place in David Bowie's career. 。
After all, it is the town where much of the music video for Bowie's memorable "Let's Dance" was shot. The 1983 tune featured a sweaty, sun-kissed Bowie passing time in a rural pub, a progression from the glam rock look that came to define his early career.。

The song helped to bring to light the racial intolerance in that exists towards Indigenous Australians, something which still resonates to this day.。
