The Academy is not exactly known for venturing outside the box with its Best Picture picks. Last year's surprise nomination for。Mad Max: Fury Road。

Mad Max: Fury Road。 and。District 9 。 a few years ago were anomalies likely born out of expanding the field to up to 10 movies. 。And if we're honest, it's no surprise the Academy wasn't going to break precedence here for a film as violent and foul-mouthed as。 Deadpool 。. Sure, they've nominated films like 。 Django Unchained。, but。 Deadpool 。is a 。COMIC BOOK MOVIE 。

is still a go and there's a lot of teasing going on, including an image that many took to mean that not only might Hugh Jackman's Wolverine be making a cameo in the film, but that the one and only Pierce Brosnan may be tapped to play Deadpool's frenemy Cable. 。
