The reshuffling comes as Vice President of Xiaomi Hugo Barra left the company to join Facebook to lead the social juggernaut's virtual reality efforts.
Under the leadership of Barra, Xiaomi has expanded to markets outside of China, debuting in India, Indonesia, Singapore, and most recently the United States in the past three years.
In just two years of its arrival in India, Xiaomi has become the second largest smartphone vendor in the country. Under Manu Kumar Jain, the company announced last month that it had crossed $1 billion in revenue in the country in 2016.
