Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has said that she’s ready to register as Muslim amid reports that Donald Trump to take executive action affecting immigrants traveling to the country.。

"I was raised Catholic, became Episcopalian & found out later my family was Jewish. I stand ready to register as Muslim in #solidarity," Albright tweeted. 。

She also tweeted a picture of the Statue of Liberty with the quote: "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door." 。

"America must remain open to people of all faiths & backgrounds," Albright wrote.。
